What’s the Infinity We’re Chasing, Where Is It, and What Are Its Traits?

Why are we so obs‌es‌sed with infinity? What’s the infinity actually looks like?

Remember how we said that since our essence is infinite, nothing can ever satisfy us? Like, no matter what we get, we always want more — something higher, something beyond? It’s like we feel this pull for infinity inside us, and we’re constantly chasing it!

  • When we go after knowledge, we won’t stop until we get a bunch of PhDs and maybe even a Nobel Prize!
  • If it’s money, a few houses, cars, and cottages are never enough — we just keep wanting more.
  • Or we want to be the best-looking, most flawless, most powerful person in the room.
But the moment we get close to any of these, we’re like, “Wait, this wasn’t it!” and we’re back on the chase!

Now let’s be real — what is this “infinity” we’re all chasing so hard?
Does something like infinity even exist out there in the universe?
And if it does — what is it like? What are its qualities? What makes it so special that we all feel this deep pull toward it?

So, what’s this infinity we keep talking about?

Did you know there are two types of infinity in this world? Some things are not infinite right now, but they have the potential to become infinite. Like an apple seed—right now it’s just one seed, but it could grow into a tree, an orchard, and keep producing apples forever! But we’re not talking about that type of infinity.

There’s another kind of infinity that’s already infinite and has no limits. We can see it everywhere. Honestly, when we talk about infinity, this is the one we mean!

But now, let’s figure out if this infinity we’re after really exists. What does it look like? And what’s so special about it that we stay obsessed with it — from the moment we’re born till the moment we die?

The Traits of an Infinite Being

  • “It Exists”
First things first — according to the laws of desire (the ones we talked about in the article “Formulas for Reaching Your Dreams”), this Infinite Being we’re chasing — the one we’re constantly searching for — has to exist.

And not just that — those same laws tell us something even deeper:
If we desire it, it means we already know it on some level. We’ve experienced what it’s like to be with it.
In fact, it means a part of us is made of the same essence — that’s why we crave it so much.

  • “It Has No Limits”
On the other hand, it’s obvious that this infinite being can’t have limits. If it had boundaries, it wouldn’t be infinite anymore. It doesn’t make sense for something infinite to have the traits of something limited. That’s why it has no boundaries, no time, no space, and no physical form—because all that stuff would limit it and stop it from being infinite. Plus, all its features need to be infinite together, in one go. If each part tried to be infinite on its own, we’d have a bunch of infinities bumping into each other, and that wouldn’t make any sense either.
  • “There’s Only One”
Let’s be real — no sound mind can believe that there could be two or more infinities.
Think about it: if there were two, there’d have to be some kind of boundary where the first one ends so the second one can begin, right? But the moment you draw a line between them, both become limited — and that means they’re not infinite anymore.

Plus, if the first one is truly infinite, it already fills everything. There’s simply no space left for another infinity to exist.

Did you know some nations — maybe even some that still exist today — believed in many gods?
Now imagine if those gods started fighting each other! Kinda funny, right?

  • “It’s the Source of Everything Else”
You know what’s interesting? This Infinite Being has to be the reason everything else exists.
Because if it wasn’t, then something else would’ve had to create it — and that doesn’t make sense.

So really, there are only two options:
Either it’s the cause of everything, or something else caused it to exist.

But the second one’s impossible. Why?
Because something that exists can’t come from something that doesn’t exist.
And if something else that already exists created it, that would mean our Infinite Being depends on something outside itself — which makes it limited, and therefore not infinite.

Now, hit pause right here and go watch the below episode of Inner Galaxy so your mind doesn’t get overloaded with all these deep philosophical concepts; then, come back and continue!

The Name of This Infinite Being

So, this infinite being we’re talking about? there can only be one of it in the entire universe. Because if there were more than one, each would limit the other, and well… that’s not infinite anymore.

Honestly, it doesn’t even matter what we call it—people can name it however they want! what matters is that it exists, it holds every quality within itself, and it’s the source of everything else.

Doesn’t all of this sound familiar? I mean, we only have one being in the world with these traits, right? Everything we’ve described — one, limitless, self-existent, the creator of all things — these are all the qualities of God.
I think we’re starting to get it now, right? Slowly, we’re beginning to understand why we’re so obsessed with this infinite being. And it’s not just us—people all over the world are after it too! So, the infinite being we’ve been chasing our whole lives, knocking on every door to get to, is God, and we didn’t even realize it!
