How Can I Be Part of the Bright Future That’s Supposed to Come Instead of Just Worrying About It? 

No matter how lazy we might have been about our work or how badly we’ve slacked off on reading the magazines, after all this time we should’ve figured out one thing:

we’re infinite beings, and honestly, anything that smells like limitation just bugs us! All it takes is one quick look at ourselves and our dreams to see that we don’t put limits on anything!

Actually, you know what? It’s because we crave infinity that even when it comes to birthdays we’re not satisfied with wishing each other anything less than a hundred and twenty years and long lives over and over!

Because we want to stay forever and not leave the scene that easily; the fancy way of saying it is that we have a desire for immortality! 

So now you tell me: can someone who wants to exist forever—and was basically designed that way—not worry about the future and just ignore it altogether?

Is It Even Possible Not to Think About It? 

What’s interesting is that even the people who totally take the opposite stance and, as they say, don’t believe in God or the afterlife, are still worried about the future and want to know how it’s all going to end!

But out of ignorance and laziness, they’ve taken this opposing stance and think they’re being clever by denying everything!

Not realizing that the afterlife is no joke and they’ll have to pay for their misunderstandings and stubbornness for an eternity! 

Of course, for Satan that’s not bad at all—it actually makes things easier!

Because instead of putting in a ton of effort and slowly planning how to flip their lives upside down and ruin them,

he can relax from the start knowing they’re already going the wrong way and will never reach the goal!

I went to the library to seriously study; 

Not even one line! 

One sentence!  One word! 

Nothing went into my head at all.

A Bright Future—Not Just Any Future! 

After all, it’s not a joke; if we had zero hope for the future, we wouldn’t even be able to take a single step!

There has to be some hope we can hold onto!

Just imagine if someone told us we’re going to spend the rest of our lives in misery and hardship—what kind of state would we end up in?

Even if we put all that aside, since we’re eternal, everlasting beings, this future‑thinking just won’t leave us alone!

It’s like our default settings were arranged in a way that we simply can’t picture ourselves without an exciting, awesome future;

honestly, if the future looks dark and gloomy to us, we get this feeling like everything’s totally going to ruin!

So what happens tomorrow? 

Is there even a tomorrow?!

The Prophets Talked About the Future Too 

It’s not for no reason that all the prophets talked about the future, and what’s going to happen to us and to the world in the future has always been one of their concerns!

From the very beginning they made things clear for everyone and said that the future of the world is going to change through what the followers of the last Prophet of God will bring about!

And if we don’t go along with it, not only will we ruin ourselves, we’ll ruin others too!

So with this, the prophets really hit the target!

They both created motivation for all of us to grow, and at the same time they raised the standards of what doing something right and meaningful really means!

So What Was the Goal in the First Place? 

But sooner or later someone has to explain to us why we should even take part in such a future, or what difference being part of the future of the world actually makes for us.

 Maybe if we know what’s supposed to happen in the future and where we’re ultimately heading, we can understand our connection to the future more easily!

You’ve probably heard somehow that the future of the world is in whose hands!

Meaning that in this ongoing struggle between good people and bad people, it’s the good people who win the game in the end!

And really, who could be kinder to people than the prophets? Naturally they wanted their people to stand on the right side of history and in the end have a good outcome!

That’s why they constantly talked about this beautiful future and reassured their people deep down about how things would end!

In fact, the meaning of religion is understanding the future and building the future!

Because it’s only within a proper and solid civilization that people can truly live like human beings and reach the goal God has set for them!

Becoming a Member of God’s Party 

But becoming a member of God’s party and taking part in that future isn’t something casual!

We have to keep a very close eye on our choices, our relationships, our thoughts, and our actions so that we can be among the good people.

But it’s definitely worth it!

Because at the end of such a choice, not only will there be joy, peace, goodness, and blessings, but this is how a civilization will be built in the world that produces truly decent human beings, and everyone reaches the purpose they were created for!

Mr. Akbari would argue that the sky is green— 

Nope!

How Can We Even Reach the Future 

So the question now is how can we reach the future?

What if our life ends before we get to that bright future we want

But if we’re saying this it means we still haven’t really understood what being eternal means.

 It means it hasn’t really sunk in for us yet that our true self has no limits and basically limitation has no meaning for our real human nature.

You know what? Since we are eternal and infinite, we can’t pack our afterlife bag with just a few small or big actions we do in this world.

In a way, we need the provisions we take to the afterlife to be eternal and limitless just like ourselves.

Well the One who created us limitless has also made a way for this, so that we can make ourselves eternal;

and in practice become partners with everyone who lived before us and everyone who will come after us.

And that is having intention!

Why Intention?

You might not believe it, but our true essence is really our intentions and concerns.

In fact, these very wishes and things we love or the things we dislike and that bring us down are what shape our personality

And with these small and big intentions that come from the bottom of our hearts we are in a way joining ourselves with the actions of that group of people.

Whether those actions are good or bad.

The logic behind it isn’t complicated at all.

Because we share the same concern with them and our hearts beat for the same thing.

Just like a football team where if they win, they all lift the trophy and it’s not just one single person who is declared the winner.

Taking Part in the Future 

So if we’re worried about the future or if we want to take part in both the past and the future of the world, all we need is to truly wish for these things from the bottom of our hearts;

meaning a real intention which of course we confirm with our actions.

What does that mean?

 It means our wishes can’t go one way while our actions and lifestyle go the exact opposite way!

For example, we can’t say we would give our lives for our country, and then spend all day everywhere speaking badly about our country.

Or say that if we had lived in the time of Imam Hussein, we would never have left him alone, but right now we just walk around like nothing matters while our Imam is alone.

So if we are truly worried about the future and want to do something for the civilization that is meant to bring everyone to their true goal all we need is to truly make the intention and then take action for it
