What’s each creature’s unique feature? What makes us alike or different?
Ever thought about the fact that each of us has our own set of talents and features that are totally ours? Yup, these are the things that actually make us different from everything else!
To put it simply, anything we or any other creature does comes from its own features or “perfection.” And it’s way different from the usual “wow, what an awesome person!” kind of perfection. For example, a piece of paper’s special traits are that you can write on it, fan yourself with it, make origami, burn it for fire, fold it, mash it into clay for crafts… and a ton more.
Oh, and one thing! When we talk about a thing’s unique features, we mean everything it can do, not just the “good stuff.” Like, a pen can write but also scrape chalk off the wall… (please ignore that second one!)
The features we have come straight from the talents inside us. Every creature has some main talents—either it can develop them, or it can’t, and then it’s kind of an incomplete being. And this doesn’t matter whether the creature is a tree, an animal, a human, or even an inanimate object like a rock!

Okay, now that we get that, we can divide all creatures into 5 main categories based on their core features: inanimate (solid) things, plants, animals, angels, and humans.
Based on these unique features, solids go at the bottom because their talents and abilities are the smallest. Next up are plants, because besides their own talents, they also share some solid-like traits like weight, smell, and stuff. After that come animals, which not only have their own animal-specific traits, but also grow and reproduce like plants, and have solid-like traits too—weight, smell, and space they take up. Angels are one step above animals, just right below us. And finally, humans take the top spot—the best and highest place.

Take a look around you! What do you see? Probably walls, mountains, rocks, cups, pens, and stuff like that, right? Our surroundings are full of matter. This lifeless part of the world—which is actually a huge part—has some basic traits and features shared by all these things, and we call them inanimate qualities, like weight, volume, color, and smell.
Next up are plants, which are more advanced than solids in their unique and inherent features. That means they don’t just have weight, smell, and color like solids—they’re soft and beautiful, grow bigger, strengthen their parts, eat, and even reproduce. We call these traits that are unique to plants vegetative qualities. And it’s not just plants—animals and humans, who rank higher than plants, also have these traits. For example, if someone spends time improving their looks, getting stronger, or training like crazy to win a sports medal, they’re basically developing one of their vegetative qualities.
Now it’s the animals’ turn. They not only have weight, volume, and other solid-like traits, and the beauty traits of plants, but they also eat, grow, reproduce, and have their own special features: instincts, mating, jobs, social life, loyalty, kindness, defending themselves and their families, helping their own kind and even others… Basically, if any trait that exists in humans also exists somewhere in an animal on Earth, then it moves from being a human quality to an animal quality.

Next up are intellective qualities, which aren’t super active in every human. For example, not everyone wants to take a ton of classes or constantly learn new stuff, and some people might actually struggle a bit when it comes to reasoning and analyzing. But here’s the cool part: all the progress we make in science and technology, the formulas we discover, the Xbox and PlayStation games we play, the multi-megapixel cameras on our phones that we totally geek out over—all of that depends on these intellective qualities. Originally, these traits belong to angels, but guess what—we share them too, because we’re on a higher level than them.
Basically, just like we have the inherent features of inanimate objets, plants, and animals inside us, we also have the inherent traits of angels within ourselves.
You know what’s funny? If we don’t really know ourselves and don’t understand the inherent traits of the creatures around us, we might think it’s our brain that makes us different. But honestly, being human means we not only have the traits and qualities of other creatures, we also have one feature that’s totally, 100% ours. That’s the one that really makes us different from everything else!
