How Can I Stop Feeling So Stressed Out and Just Be Happy?
✘ My nerves were a total mess when “our team lost!”
But my friend? Totally chill about it!
Why do people react so differently to the same thing?
Like, why did I totally freak out when I came home and saw that a thief had beaten us there and stolen all our expensive stuff—
But my sister? She stayed calm.
What’s the reason some people stay cool and wise in tough moments, while others totally lose it—no matter their age?
- Sometimes we think we’re great at something,
but the moment we start doing it—or see the results—
we realize we’re not as good as we thought!
It’s the same with knowing ourselves.
We think we totally “get” who we are,
and then we go build a whole lifestyle based on that.
But if we’re not happy, or we feel regret about our choices,
that probably means…
we don’t really know ourselves.
Or we only know a few small parts of us.
Each of us picks a lifestyle that fits the tools and methods we think lead to happiness.
If you look closely, you’ll notice we only pick habits and behaviors that match our beliefs, personality, and vibe.
These questions might help you figure out how you chose your lifestyle:
- What kind of clothes do you wear?
Sporty and chill? Classic? Trendy? Or just super casual? - What kind of neighborhood would you choose to live in?
Do you like it busy and buzzing, or calm and quiet? - How into reading and exercise are you?
Do you work out or read daily,
or do games and scrolling socials take up most of your time? - Are you the type to post stories 24/7 so everyone knows what you’re up to,
or do you love your peace and privacy? - How much of a role do God and spirituality play in your life?
Are you cool with God?
Do you ever pray or tell Him how you’re really doing? - Are you more into fruits and healthy snacks,
or are you always on the hunt for flashy fast food? - Do you love traveling and hanging out with family and friends,
or are you more into spending time alone?

Are you like David—always trying to keep the good stuff for yourself?
Or more like Daniel and Borna—looking for chances to help others?
What Do I Deserve in Life?
If you think only rich people or those with super fancy jobs are the ones who matter,
or that only people with lots of degrees and titles like “doctor” or “engineer” are worth something,
then your whole life—and your whole lifestyle—will be shaped by chasing those things.
Like, you’ll believe that’s all you deserve.
But is money, education, property, or a high status really enough to bring peace and happiness?
If it were, then why are so many people who have all that still totally unhappy?
And what about all those celebs, actors, and influencers—
they’ve got fame and fortune, yet their lives are still full of struggle.
It might sound weird,
but if we don’t know our true self,
even our religion might not be enough to bring us peace.
If we really wanna figure out what we’re meant to do in this life,
and what we actually want,
we’ve gotta know ourselves.
Because the way we define and believe in ourselves
is what sets our value.
And then based on that value, we build a lifestyle. It’s kinda like an actor playing a hero—
First, they have to see themselves as the hero,
and then all their actions and choices fall in line with that role.
The First Step Toward Real Happiness
So yeah—knowing who you are,
where you came from,
where you’re headed,
and what you want out of life
is step one for building a solid lifestyle and finding true happiness.
Like, imagine you wanna climb a mountain,
but you don’t have a map.
You might get lost, tired, or discouraged—
and never even reach the top.
That’s exactly what happens when we go after happiness
without really knowing ourselves.
- Even if we think we want to be happy,
if we don’t know what that really means for us,
or what our real needs are,
then no matter how hard we try…
we probably won’t get there.
We all want to be happy,
and we’re doing our best to get there.
New phones, stylish clothes, dream rooms, fancy cars—
a lot of us think those = peace and the perfect life.
But truth is,
sometimes even with all that,
we still don’t feel truly happy or calm inside.
Sure, those things might bring us comfort—
but real peace?
That’s a whole different story.
See, real happiness isn’t about fake smiles,
laughing just to fit in,
or always going out and chasing fun.
We could have all that stuff,
but still feel stressed and negative when we’re alone.
So… what is real happiness and peace?
And where can we actually find it?
We talk more about that in this week’s “Inner Galaxy” video—definitely check it out below:
Where All This Sadness and Stress Comes From
- To do anything right, step one is awareness.
Like, if you want to fix a car,
but you know nothing about it,
you’ll probably mess it up even more.
Same goes for self-awareness.
Honestly, most of our sadness and stress comes from one place:
We don’t really know ourselves or what we actually need.
Like an athlete—
If they don’t understand their body’s strengths and limits,
they could hurt themselves or never reach their goals.
And for us?
If we don’t know our real self and what we need,
we might end up living in a way
that actually brings us anxiety and sadness,
instead of peace and joy.
When we don’t know how to deal with the people and stuff around us,
we don’t make things better—we make them worse.
Here’s the thing:
We all care about ourselves and want what’s best for us.
But if the “self” we’re working so hard for is our wrong self,
then all that effort won’t go anywhere.
So yeah—
which version of ourselves we make choices for really matters.
Imagine going on a long trip—
no map, no GPS.
Even if your car is great and full of gas,
you’ll still probably get lost.
- Same with happiness.
Getting there takes knowing the way.
If you want to be happy,
but you don’t know who you really are
or what you’re really looking for,
then no matter how hard you try,
you won’t end up where you want.
So…
if you’re ready to start the real journey toward peace and happiness,
come along with us. That’s a wrap for this week—
we dove into another awesome topic together!
